Be Different from Others

A very beautiful and thoughtful saying from Mahatma Gandhi, Jesus, and Mother Teresa respectively. It is glad to listen to such motivational words and quotations. When I was a young boy, my mom often reminded me to be different from others; in terms of thinking, field of interest, upbringings, and personality. I keep on loitering through the world by being myself, no matter how much others express their hatred on me.

Some people might ask, to what extent my different would be?? Is it up to a peculiar act to the point of no return?? Urrmm, not really I guess. What my mom meant by being different is when our behavior, attitude, decision, judgement, and affection are coming out from the innermost layer of ourselves. We shouldn't been influenced or affected by how others ways of perceiving things.

But need to be reminded that being peculiar doesn't mean we can do anything as we please. Following the Qoran and hadith of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is essential as we need to some sort of guidance and there is no other references would be the best except those two. As we shuffle pages of the Qoran and realize how much it helps us find our way, Allah also wants us to be Khasiyah. Khasiyah is a feeling of inferior towards the supernaturalistic being.

The more we have Khasiyah in us based on the truth facts, the closer would us become to God. As humans, we are given free wills to choose in which directions or paths to be followed. The think that we should bare in mind is not to follow something until we can get hold of what elements of truth. Being a Muslim as well, we should not take for granted by just following the obligations or do's and don'ts without knowing their sources and references.

This is what I mean by being different. Follow the directions depicted by the holy Qoran and hadith of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh). If there's any barrier or saying that stop us from following those two, then it is alright to appear differently. Asalamualaikum.
